Impact Education Center currently offers Alcohol and Drug Assessments to
community members. All assessments are currently available in both English and
Spanish.
Completion of the SASSI-4 (Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory – 4), SMAST
(Short Michigan Alcohol Screening Test) and/or DAST-10 (Drug Abuse Screening Test
will be required before completing assessment.
Alcohol and Drug Assessments:
The purpose of the assessment is to identify service needs and determine if the
individual has a substance use disorder or chemical dependency problem. Upon
completion of the interview, recommendations are made for treatment, education,
and/or others supports based on the results of the assessment.
The assessments are a 45 to 60-minute interview with an LCDC (Licensed Chemical
Dependency Counselor), who meets the requirements of RULE §448.803, and is
certified, and in good standing in the State of Texas. An assessment recommendation
letter is then provided to the client’s referral source (attorney/probation officer/self-etc.)
within one (1) to three (3) business days of the appointment.
Alcohol & Drug Assessments are by appointment only and can be completed in office or
through a HIPPA compliant virtual platform.
Out of state assessments can be completed, however, price will vary depending on the requirements and documentation for that state.
