Impact Education Center currently offers Alcohol and Drug Assessments to all:
In-County, Out of County, and Out of State Clients
Assessments are currently available in both English & Spanish.
- Completion of the SASSI-4 (Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory – 4), SMAST
(Short Michigan Alcohol Screening Test) and/or DAST-10 (Drug Abuse Screening Test
will be required before completing assessment.
Alcohol and Drug Assessments:
The purpose of the assessment is to identify service needs and determine if the individual has a substance use disorder or chemical dependency problem.
- Upon completion of the interview, recommendations are made for treatment, education, and/or others supports based on the results of the assessment.
The assessments are a 45 to 60-minute interview with an LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor), who meets the requirements of RULE §448.803.
Our Counselors are certified, and in good standing with the State of Texas.
- An assessment recommendation letter is then provided to the client’s referral source (attorney/probation officer/self-etc.)
within one (1) to three (3) business days of the appointment.
- Alcohol & Drug Assessments are by appointment only and can be completed in office or
through a HIPPA compliant virtual platform.
- Out of state assessments can be completed, however, price will vary depending on the requirements and documentation for that state.
